Life After Suffering - John Barksdale

To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:  - Acts 1:3 KJV

Nobody likes to suffer

Basically there are two kinds of suffering
1) Suffering for unrighteousness which has much to do with selfishness and self indulgences.
2) Suffering for the sake of righteousness is the suffering that will produce life in Yeshua!.

The Inner Life - David Mitts

"Remember the law of Moses My servant, even the statutes and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel. “Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the LORD. "He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse." (Malachi 4:4-6 NASB)

This is as we have stated multiple times, a key scripture to live our lives from in these days prior to the day known in scripture as the :great and terrible day of the Lord.  There are 2 key components here:

1.     Remember Torah.
2. Prophetic-led restoration of hearts focused primarily on the generations.
We spoke a few weeks back about remembering in connection with the Feast of Yom Teruah.  Remembering is greatly affected by offense.  When we get offended, we re-interpret reality in the past, by the offense.  What mostly disappears is thankfulness.  Instead our mechanisms of self-protection gather evidence that twists our “knowing” of another.  We experience identity collapse and another idolatrous image appears.  This vain imagination is a twisted re-presentation of the “offender” through our pain and the attending lies of the kingdom of darkness.

The Hebrew word iniquity, “avon” is described by this twisting reality: the word is a picture of a twisted rope.  There is a strength that is added to the distortions made by twisting or bending away from the light or the truth.  Just like the truth is built precept upon precept, deception is also built lie upon lie, a twisting of reality based on a wound, an offense.  Look with me at Isaiah 28: 5-18

In that day the LORD of hosts will be a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of his people, and a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

This is an end time condition.  There will be a remnant of God’s people. There will be a battle at the gate.  Which gate?  The gate of judgment.  In biblical culture, the gate is the place of hospitality.  Judges sat in the gate and determined who could come in as part of covenant community and also who was friend or foe.  This requires a pure spirit of justice.  Read on:

These also reel with wine and stagger with strong drink; the priest and the prophet reel with strong drink, they are swallowed by wine, they stagger with strong drink, they reel in vision, and they stumble in giving judgment. For all tables are full of filthy vomit, with no space left. (there is a perversion of the prophetic and priestly roles, which closes the gates of hospitality) "To whom will he teach knowledge, and to whom will he explain the message? Those who are weaned from the milk, those taken from the breast? For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little." For by people of strange lips and with a foreign tongue the LORD will speak to this people, to whom he has said, "This is rest; give rest to the weary; and this is repose"; yet they would not hear.

You see, there is a place of rest but it requires the truth.  It requires love and hospitality.  Torah is not only about loving God and keeping His commandments.  Torah is also about a heart that is free to love our neighbors.

 And the word of the LORD will be to them precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little, that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scoffers, who rule this people in Jerusalem! Because you have said, "We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we have an agreement, when the overwhelming whip passes through it will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and in falsehood we have taken shelter";

I know this sounds a little strange, bible-speak, but remember the kingdom of God is within you and is expressed around you.  When we take refuge in lies, or if you rather distort how we think about one another based on our hurts and reinterpretation of the past, we shrink our world and death becomes a covenant partner.  In other words, we give our time, resources, and life energy to the one we are in partnership with.  When lies enter into our thinking about each other then, begin to avoid each other.  We become dead to one another.  Instead of the life of God flowing between us, the death flows between us.  This is anti-Christ.

therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: 'Whoever believes will not be in haste.' And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plumb line; and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters will overwhelm the shelter." Then your covenant with death will be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol will not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, you will be beaten down by it. (Isaiah 28:5-18)

Yeshua is our cornerstone.  Yeshua came not only that we would be forgiven and go to heaven.  He came to break the covenant with death.  This is the remembering of Torah of Moshe.  You see Torah isn’t just about keeping Shabbat or keeping the Feasts or even just about Israel and her redemption.  That is Torah but NOT all of it or perhaps not even the most important part.  I won’t debate that.  Torah is also about loving our neighbors as ourselves.  Look with me at Mark 12:28-34:

One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, "What commandment is the foremost of all?" Jesus answered, "The foremost is, 'HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD; AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.' "The second is this, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' There is no other commandment greater than these." The scribe said to Him, "Right, Teacher; You have truly stated that HE IS ONE, AND THERE IS NO ONE ELSE BESIDES HIM; AND TO LOVE HIM WITH ALL THE HEART AND WITH ALL THE UNDERSTANDING AND WITH ALL THE STRENGTH, AND TO LOVE ONE'S NEIGHBOR AS HIMSELF, is much more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." When Jesus saw that he had answered intelligently, He said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." After that, no one would venture to ask Him any more questions. (Mark 12:28-34 NASB)

The second part of Malachi’s end tome prophecy relates to Elijah and the healing of generations.  This is a prophetic anointing, a hearing of God specifically targeted at healing wounds in our hearts from the primary agents of blessing in our lives, father and mother.  Of all of the sources of pain and deception that impact our lives, the parental wounds are the most impactful.  These affect our destiny, our inheritance, our stewardship in God’s kingdom.  Malachi tells us that if we don’t get this right our land is cursed.  Look at Ephesians 6:1-4

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER (which is the first commandment with a promise), SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH. Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:1-4 NASB).

Generational iniquity, the twisting of the image and likeness of God in our parents or in our children brings about devastation.  This sets up a kingdom of lies in a covenant with the father of lies who brings about death, death of dreams, death of relationships, death of inheritance.  Both parents and children need to realize that we are living in a broken world with a broken image of who God is and who we are.  It will take great humility and the leading of the Holy Spirit to change this.  Even if we were to manage a change on a small personal level with just discipline, we still have the bigger picture as ambassadors to impact our culture.

This is why the Lord used Elijah as the intercessor.  Elijah brings the power of prayer, prophetic prayer to the picture and confronts the strongholds of Jezebel and Baal directly.  You see Jezebel was all about mind control, head-trips.

(There was none who sold himself to do what was evil in the sight of the LORD like Ahab, whom Jezebel his wife incited. (1 Kings 21:25)

We live in a Jezebel Ahab time period.  It is going to take the Elijah anointing to turn the hearts back to the Lord and to each other.
So, how do we enter into that anointing?  Charles spoke to us about the salt covenant last week and being the salt.  This is the friendship covenant.  He spoke about coming into the place of love.  We know we need to repent to enter into the Kingdom.  But how do we access it over and over?

To answer that lets look at Philippians 4:4-7

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-7)

First and foremost we need to learn to rejoice in the Lord!  When we abandon ourselves to Him, it releases us from some degree of self consciousness.  We cannot be rejoicing over Him and worrying about our own self protection at the same time.
Next our gentle spirit needs to be how we are known by all men.  This word gives the impression of an unwillingness to judge, an attitude of bearing with anothers weaknesses.  This is said to give another testimony of the nearness of the Lord!
Anxiety is a root of much separation.  We disconnect when we become anxious.  The Elijah anointing brings us instead into prayer and supplication with thanksgiving.

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit. (James 5:17-18).

The Elijah mantle that is released in the last days is about restoration generationally.  Yet the methodology is a type of prevailing prayer.  The result is a peace or a state of shalom which actually becomes the protection that our hearts and minds need that the lies of self protection were counterfeiting.  Our heart and our minds need to be open to work correctly.  A closed heart is a hardened heart.  A closed mind is a rigid mind unable to see outside of a fixed perspective.  Together they make up what we call the religious spirit.  As we learn to truly pray, to ask God to give us His perspective and His desires, we discover that we begin to see life completely differently.  Now, we can enter into Philippians 4:8-9.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8-9 NASB).

This is actually a restoration of relationships that brings about the blessing.  In focussing our hearts and minds of what is true and honorable, right and pure, the things of a good reputation and worthy of praise, we attract the God of Peace into our lives.  I suggest that we should begin now by an activation.

Elijah Restoration Activation
The purpose of this prophetic activation is to draw a believer into the reality of the blessing out of the curse.

"I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, (Deuteronomy 30:19 NASB)

Explanation: Since we are in many ways who we remember ourselves as, it is in remembrance that freedom or bondage can control our lives.  The kingdom of darkness works primarily through iniquity, the twisting of reality.  The Hebrew word used for night in the Bible is: Laila. It comes from the word picture of a spiral staircase which turns one away from the light.  What we want to recover in this activation is righteousness in our soul.  Our spirit has already been made righteous by the Blood of Yeshua.  Yet our soul is in the process of sanctification.  The goal, as I see it, is to be spirit-led in our soul and live the life of liberty.

We are going to press in for a word from the throne that reveals where we have knowingly or unknowingly entered into a covenant with death.  This is place where a lie has become our point of agreement.  We are going to ask the Lord to reveal to us the truth in the matter and allow the spirit of Elijah to turn our hearts to the Father and all others as well.

Pray after me:  Father, I am a blood washed child of yours.  Father, in You I live and move and have my being.  Your Spirit is the truth spirit and I know that above any thing else You will give me your spirit, your truth when I ask.   Father reveal to me any place where I have made a covenant with death, where I have allowed a lie to determine my reality.
Good. Now allow the Lord to show you where the intruder is.  As the Lord is revealing to you what He is showing you just accept it as what He wants to deal with now.  Now ask Him what the unGodly agreement is.

OK. Now let's rescind that agreement.  Break it in Yeshua's name!
Now, let's fill the void with a covenant agreement of life, of blessing.  Ask the Lord to tell you a truth that will be the new covenant of His Torah written in your heart.
As you hear, receive and declare the following out loud!
I have heard you, Father.  You are my Lord.  You alone are my God!  I commit to loving you with ALL of my heart, soul and body.  I commit to loving my neighbor as myself!

Halleluyah

Love Covers - Charles D Harris

1Pe 4:7-9 NASB - 7 The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. 8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Be hospitable to one another without complaint.

Pro 10:12 NASB - 12 Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all transgressions.

Our great commission is to
Mar 12:30-31 KJV - 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment. 31 And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Let’s talk about salt
Mat 5:13 NASB - 13 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

“Salt is a necessity of life and was a mineral that was used since ancient times in many cultures as a seasoning, a preservative, a disinfectant, a component of ceremonial offerings, and as a unit of exchange. The Bible contains numerous references to salt. In various contexts, it is used metaphorically to signify permanence, loyalty, durability, fidelity, usefulness, value, and purification.” - Wikipedia

You are to be salty people in the midst of the world to bring flavor of God to the world as well as sweet savor to God.

The salt covenant is a covenant of friendship initiated from God with Abraham.  This is a new covenant dimension in addition to the blood covenant.

Lev 2:13 NASB - 13 'Every grain offering of yours, moreover, you shall season with salt, so that the salt of the covenant of your God shall not be lacking from your grain offering; with all your offerings you shall offer salt.

Num 18:19 NASB - 19 "All the offerings of the holy gifts, which the sons of Israel offer to the LORD, I have given to you and your sons and your daughters with you, as a perpetual allotment. It is an everlasting covenant of salt before the LORD to you and your descendants with you."

2Ch 13:5 NASB - 5 "Do you not know that the LORD God of Israel gave the rule over Israel forever to David and his sons by a covenant of salt?

I Call You Friends
Pro 27:17 KJV - 17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Isa 41:8 KJV - 8 But thou, Israel, [art] my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.

Jam 2:23 KJV - 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Jhn 15:15 NASB - 15 "No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.

Perspective of Seeing
2Ki 6:8-23 NASB - [8] Now the king of Aram was warring against Israel; and he counseled with his servants saying, "In such and such a place shall be my camp." [9] The man of God sent word to the king of Israel saying, "Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Arameans are coming down there." [10] The king of Israel sent to the place about which the man of God had told him; thus he warned him, so that he guarded himself there, more than once or twice. [11] Now the heart of the king of Aram was enraged over this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, "Will you tell me which of us is for the king of Israel?" [12] One of his servants said, "No, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom." [13] So he said, "Go and see where he is, that I may send and take him." And it was told him, saying, "Behold, he is in Dothan." [14] He sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city. [15] Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?" [16] So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." [17] Then Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." And the LORD opened the servant's eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. [18] When they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD and said, "Strike this people with blindness, I pray." So He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. [19] Then Elisha said to them, "This is not the way, nor is this the city; follow me and I will bring you to the man whom you seek." And he brought them to Samaria. [20] When they had come into Samaria, Elisha said, "O LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they may see." So the LORD opened their eyes and they saw; and behold, they were in the midst of Samaria. [21] Then the king of Israel when he saw them, said to Elisha, "My father, shall I kill them? Shall I kill them?" [22] He answered, "You shall not kill them. Would you kill those you have taken captive with your sword and with your bow? Set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink and go to their master." [23] So he prepared a great feast for them; and when they had eaten and drunk he sent them away, and they went to their master. And the marauding bands of Arameans did not come again into the land of Israel.
Luk 10:22-24 NASB - 22 "All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him." 23 Turning to the disciples, He said privately, "Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see, 24 for I say to you, that many prophets and kings wished to see the things which you see, and did not see them, and to hear the things which you hear, and did not hear them."

Love Your Enemies
Mat 5:44 NASB - 44 "But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Luk 6:27, 35 NASB - 27 "But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, ... 35 "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.

Pro 16:7 NASB - 7 When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Forgive them; they know not what they do
Luk 23:34 NASB - 34 But Jesus was saying, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves.

You need Holy Spirit to have a new perspective and power
Jhn 20:22-23 NASB - 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 "If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained."

Make peace
Mar 9:50 NASB - 50 "Salt is good; but if the salt becomes unsalty, with what will you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another."

Let us use this opportunity to not be tasteless. Ask the Lord where have I allowed offence and hardness of heart, shame to cause me to loose flavor.

The Secret Place: Learning to abide - David Mitts

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalms 91:1)

In these tumultuous times abiding in the shelter or the secret place of the Most High is a key survival strategy for personal and ministry effectiveness.  In the secret place, the hidden place we learn to abide in His shadow.

If we remember that it was in Peter’s shadow that miracles occurred.

So that they [even] kept carrying out the sick into the streets and placing them on couches and sleeping pads, [in the hope] that as Peter passed by, at least his shadow might fall on some of them. And the people gathered also from the towns and hamlets around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those troubled with foul spirits, and they were all cured. (Acts 5:15-16)

The shadow is the place of miracles, the place of protection.  The key is to dwell in the secret place.  What exactly is the secret place?
The key is to look back a few verses in the book of acts to see what attracted the shadow.
In Acts 4, Peter and John had been arrested for preaching in Yeshua’s name.  After their release and prayer God’s glory manifested.  This is so important t.  Let’s read it:

And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness. And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them. And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all. For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell them and bring the proceeds of the sales and lay them at the apostles' feet, and they would be distributed to each as any had need. Now Joseph, a Levite of Cyprian birth, who was also called Barnabas by the apostles (which translated means Son of Encouragement), and who owned a tract of land, sold it and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet.
(Acts 4:31-37)

Out of this came the shadow, the secret place.  You might say, I don’t see the connection.  Well I think the connection strikes right at the heart of what this gospel is truly all about, covenant community.  You see, we live in a time when Yeshua warned of anti-messiah, antichrist and that the spirit of the age would be marked by lawlessness and coldness of love.

"Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold. (Matthew 24:12).

Now, let’s ask what is lawlessness?  It is a disregard for standards, for God’s ways.  In this age God becomes trivial, passé.  But even more insidious is the result, love growing cold.  Now, we say my love isn’t growing cold!  Well, let’s look at it a bit and see the connection to lawlessness and then to the secret place.  What is the center point of love?

Love is sacrifice.  God so loved the world that He sacrificed His son.  Love is always marked by a sacrifice of our will for a greater love.  Love has to include Law, Torah.  What do I mean by that??  I mean that in order for love to exist, it has to exist inside order, boundaries.  Love exists inside of covenant.  God gave His Son, sacrificed Him to the brutality of man’s lawlessness, sin, to honor covenant.  It was the boundary of Law, or Torah, that demanded sacrifice.

We don’t like that.  We don’t want to sacrifice.  We don’t want to commit.  We prefer to live in the fringes of all possibilities; ready to bolt the minute we feel any kind of threat to our ego.

You see what was released in the book of acts was something I believe that was a foreshadow. You see the Spirit came in power and what was formed was sacrifice and covenant community.

Now, today we have 2 forces in the body that are in opposition, One is the corporation.   This is the business church model.  The second is a reaction to the first, which is the individualized prayer life, where it is about God and me.  Both of these will keep us out of the secret place.  The corporation is all about works and productivity. It is about belonging to a large impersonal thing with its own identity and in that a pride of identity becomes very apparent.  I have heard the corporation speak brand awareness, like Pepsi.  Complete with coffee mugs and t-shirt and cute program names, the corporation keeps believers in a form of slick godliness with no real power.  Why?  No sacrifice except maybe a little money and time.

What is never a part of the corporation is transparency and risk of being known.  In fact the main reason it works so well is it avoids transparency and being known at all costs.  Instead we know each other as good Christian brothers members of the big company.

The other ditch is the God and me.  This is the counterfeit secret place of my own solitary relationship with God.  Again what is not present is any kind of transparency and certainly no accountability.  Many tears may be shed but what is missing is God’s power and life.

These are reserved for the lovers, those who will sacrifice.  Sacrifice what?? Everything.  All was sacrificed in the book of acts.  The result was the shadow.

Why am I saying all of this?  Because we want to have revival, we want to be known by the Lord.  How will He know us??

By our love.  But it is by sacrificial love, covenant love.

The Presence of the Lord - Succoth - David Mitts

The Presence of The Lord
My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest, Exodus 33:14

As we stand here in the Feast of Succoth, our Torah portion speaks of the Presence of The Lord being with Moses and the people of God and that His Presence brings rest.
A couple of words that I want to look at in this Scripture to gain an insight and direct our spiritual activation for this Shabbat in the midst of the Feast.
Presence:
Panim
There are 3 definitions for this word:
·         Face
45 muscles in the face, the majority of which are for emotional expression
·         Inside
Misrad HaPanim, Ministry of the Interior- This determines who is allowed to enter the kingdom.
·         Before
Lifne- to stand before someone, to present yourself for evaluation, for favor or for disfavor. There is a vulnerability of transparency.
Rest:
·         Nuach
This is where we get Noah from, the one who brought rest to the world from the judgment of God.
This is a picture of salvation, the rest of God.
the word is a 2 letter root of Nun-Chet.  If you reverse the root you get grace, Chen.
The word picture is a fence around a seed.  So the rest comes from the eternal seed being in our being kept there by the fence of God's divine protection.
Now if we look at the Scripture in the context of Succoth, we begin to see that the dwelling place is where the Presence is and this is where our Destiny is contained through the seed.
Then he said to Him, “ If Your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here. 16 For how then can it be known that I have found favor in Your sight, I and Your people? Is it not by Your going with us, so that we, I and Your people, may be distinguished from all the other people who are upon the face of the earth?” Exodus 33:15-16.
Moses is showing us the key to our inheritance.  The Presence, brings us inside His heart, reveals who He is and gives us intimacy which allows for His favor, His grace, Chen to be upon us and that distinguishes us from all of the people of the earth.
The word distinguish is the same root as the word for wonders, peleh.  it is a picture of the anointing, the Holy Purpose.  We are distinguished, made a wonder by His Presence in our lives, His seed within us bringing forth our destiny, our peculiarity,
17 The Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing of which you have spoken; for you have found favor in My sight and I have known you by name.
A person's name contains their destiny.  it is the prophetic declaration of divine purpose.  You see the devil wants us to feel generic BUT we are NOT generic, we are name brand.
In Israel. the Holocaust memorial is called Yad Va-Shem.  Shem means the name but it also means the remembering of who we are.
We spoke at Yom Teruah about remembrance, the importance of remembering who we are.  This is distinguishing, the remembering of the uniqueness of each person.  Judgment is really a forgetting of who someone is.  It makes people generic.
Judgment  also puts us in the place of God, claiming to know good and evil.  This separates His Presence from us and us from His favor and our destiny.
When we judge, we lose our name.  How?? By the loss of who others are to God.
Matthew 7:1-6 (NASB)
Matthew 7
Judging Others
[7:1] “Do not judge so that you will not be judged. [2] “For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. [3] “Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? [4] “Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? [5] “You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
[6] “Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
Judging is according to a standard of measure.  The problem is who determines the scales.  When are offended, our standard of measure is the pain.  The pain is a form of glory or weight.  Pain, or hurt always challenges us in our identity.  It is in pain that the  enemy is able to insert lies.  These lies maintain the pain and set up a stronghold.  This changes our seeing, our measurement.  We "see" other through the pain they have "caused" us.  This is what the Bible calls a "vain" imagination.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5(NKJV)
[3] For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. [4] For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, [5] casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
You see these high things are judgments that change the very knowledge of God, the seed that is in the heart that is designed to bring forth destiny.  This is what His face , His Presence is about.  It is offense that corrupts the glory, not only in how we treat others but in whom we then become, a high thing that is exalted against the true name, the true character of God.
In Succoth as we tabernacle with God and with each other let's purpose in our heart to be the dwelling place of His Glory.
As we prepare for Destiny House event tonight, in our hearts let's allow Him to reveal what hurts and judgments we are carrying that are corrupting the Glory.
Proverbs 19:11 (NKJV) [11] The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, And his glory is to overlook a transgression.

There is a wisdom which is cucial for our destiny.  It is the wisdom of being slow to anger.  It is the wisdom of overlooking transgressions or offenses.  It is the wisdom of the Secret Place, where the Presence of the LORD is our defense.

New Song Released! Lisa Mitts - Waiting for You

Hey Everyone:

Awesome news!!  Lisa's new CD single is out!!  Here's the link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/lisa-mitts/id359488551.  Let's all invest the 99 cents and tell everyone you know to do the same and flood iTunes with sales!!  This is great opportunity to make a difference and of course own a great song and be a blessing.  If enough people buy it, then iTunes will feature it on the front page - this would be amazing because it is very hard for an indie artist like Lisa to make it on iTunes.

Also remember that a portion of the profits from this song and others coming on the new album goes to Destiny House and helping the victims of human trafficking!

With love and appreciation,

David
